IMO if you're going to get a 480 this is the card to get if you can afford the extra over a reference card, the cooler on its own is over £50 to buy..

I'm still waiting for somebody to give us cold hard evidence that AMD are releasing their top end cards this month, and not some rebadged, reworked 5770 which may only be slightly quicker than a GTX 460.

Every rumour i have seen states the new card coming this month has performance between a 5850 and 5870 making it 20% faster than a gtx460 1gb which is more than a little faster. I have not seen any of the rumours stating that the high end is due for release this month.

A rebadged and reworked 5770 is laughable as it clearly will not be anything like that to get the kind of performance figures that are floating around.

Some rumours have been placing the launch date for the high end in november and some december.

All we have is rumours to go on for the release dates with the odd performance chart showing up as usual.
