9 cars, including my two and my sisters had windows and mirrors smashed in last night, quite a few of the local roads round my area had the same problem, someone's car got turned over, someones got set alight, why do they do this, and where were the police? probably sitting on their ****, actually ill take a minute part of that back two police cars came up the area, their response call the police! erm aren't YOU the police sorry for my morning rant but just so annoyed that this happened

That is terrible!!

There should be more Police officers on Patrol - when it's a time like Halloween.

You just know - There were probably hundreds of cases of vandalism last night !

I can't believe some people still can't accept that so many people use 'trick or treat' as a poor excuse to vandalise everything in sight.

I'm sorry to hear about that, shows you what the world is coming to these days, unfortunately. Did anyone call the police/fire brigade whilst it happened ?

yeah, the whole street called the police!, you'd of thought getting that many calls through they would have done something, obviously not

Your road got attacked? What you need is a cyclepath! That'll scare the kids off, they'll not come back there again.

Yob Britain again - the kids think they have an excuse on halloween

By the sounds of it, happened in quite a few places.

Another reason to be ashamed to be british.

Hahahaha Jono. I just got it. Tee hee

Too much paper-work :o

Where the hell do you live? Beirut?

(rhetoric).

Insurance for the win, then.... :(

taplow near maidenhead, i've lived there now for 10years 8months and i've never seen anything like this happen before i know we had rough surrounding areas like slough, britwell and burnham but ARGHHHHH,

unfrotunately its not insurance ***, insured under TPFT on both so cant claim

Burham rough? lol

I live in Burnham and we had no problems whatsoever, didn't have any callers from 5pm till 7pm then I went out to the Bee pub for dinner/beer. :) Not even an eggshell in sight in the roads here today either.

I'd like to defend the police here. My mum is a police officer, and her rest day was canceled, as was most other peoples so they have enough people in to cover the entire city and it's suburbs. She handled 999 calls and she said that it never stopped all night until she finished her shift, and she was finishing at 8pm, so god knows what it was like for people doing evening & night shifts.

Sorry to hear about your car though dude, this sort of stuff gets worse every year :(.

This is what they did

Smashing a window is one thing but throwing a key all the way down the side would really make me go Vigilante on their asses

That's the point, i'm sure they don't know who did it...

Why does Halloween mean that yobs think they HAVE to vandalise things? I hate Halloween with a passion, it's a stupid yank thing which has absolutely no meaning whatsoever.

That's the point, i'm sure they don't know who did it...

The only solution would be either to lock them up in Garages/lockups but not every dwelling has one or fit CCTV onto the outside of the building.

But why should people have to fund this just because some un-intelligent toerags want to vandalise someones property?
