Hi,
My 18 yo sister has been looking at getting a blackberry curve 8520. At the moment, she is with T-Mobile, on a Sim only (1 month rolling) contract, paying £15/month. She gets calls and texts, but no data allowance.
She is looking at purchasing one either online or at a store for about £165 (give or take), but a lot of them come with pre-paid sim cards. Does this mean they arent unlocked to any network? Would she be ok if she got one with T-Mobile (i.e. her current provider) as the pre-paid sim network, or does she need to go online a buy an unlocked one?
She also wants to use BB pin messaging, so i presume all she needs for this is some data allowance, which she should be able to change in her contract with a quick telephone call?
Sorry if this seems either very vague, or very stupid. Neither of us really have an awful lot of knowledge regarding these things, and i know overclockers will tell me straight!
Cheers.
Nathan.
