Another monitor for example. I think you're really over estimating how much easier that board is going to make it for you to OC.

I think you'll reach the limit with your temps before you will anything else.

No one is saying they can. They're trying to offer you advise and suggest you don't go OTT on the board, trying to make you realise that its overkill for your needs. Trying to save you money!

If you don't want that I'm not sure why you posted here.

Yeah but its popular opinion that a single card is generally the better option. Plus, eventually if you did get one 480, you could then get another down the line and I don't need to explain how much that will destroy 2 460's

i have been around threads saying that not everybody is out
to look for saving and bargin hunt. so im certainly not gonna
go against it with regards to this board.

if the only gripe you guys have (and i appreciate it) is with the
board and the rest of the spec is looking good then your work is done.

do u not think i understand this!?

everything ive read about the 480s is that they r too power hungry
and run hotter than other cards. so 2 of them side by side on a crapy
spacing board is not looking good on air.
 
Frankly, that board is wasted without water cooling. And, if you are watercooling, tight gpu spacing is far less of an issue. Why not get a cheaper board and a wc the system, I am fairly sure you would get better results?

Although it seems you are just trying to justify buying it... in which case nothing we say will make any difference anyway. Enjoy your mobo.

Of course not, but you clearly want this PC to last a while and have it be fairly future proof, a 480 leaves you much much more future proof.
