Apologies to all those that are sick to death with HDR styled shots, but I wanted a try at them so tough! :p

A shot I grabbed this morning on the way to work, only had a spare few minutes so didn't really get much of a chance to grab many images or play with settings.

I quite like them both. The way you've processed it is very subtle, so it doesn't look overly stylised like some HDRs. It's almost like you've used a layer mask to blend two images of different exposures.

I really like the second too. Very impressive. I can't help but think that there is still some blue present on the van in front of the church.
 
the origional shot doesnt need any HDR treatment, it would benefit more from just a levels and shadow/highlight enhancement

i know your only trying out HDR but i think learning when to use it is as important as how to use it
