ok i had a go today at taking some photo's, this is the best one i think (apart from the sun light) i dont have a great camera and am a complete beginner, please dont laugh :)

any advice and critisism would be greatly appreciated

You've found a good location, you've taken a technically good photo then pointed out where you could improve... looks like your well on your way :)
More please!

Yeah, it s decent first attempt. You could maybe have framed it a bit more to the left, so that the road isn't cut off at the edge, and as you've pointed out the the sun isn't very good. Its very hard to shoot into the sun, unless you want silluettes.

yeah what they said, a good start, coudl have been a tad to the left to get the road in better.

Only think I would add, that streak of light across it, if you decided you didnt want that in, it looks quite an easy one to clone out with the detail from either side of it, not saying you shoudl or that you shouldnt, but if you wanted to, to have a cleaner picture, that would work.

A good start, keep them coming

thank you very much for your replies guys its appreciated, i will have a go at cloning out that sun coz i dont like it heh..gonna do some more on my next day off and ill post em up :)

I like the photo, as said by others, decent image, maybe a slightly different framing, but decent none the less.

If you care for it, I did a quick photoshop of the sunbeam, does look better. :)

The image is here, I would post it as an image, but as I wasn't actually asked to do it, that isn't fair.

This reminds me, I have many photos I need to upload from years ago. :)

Yeh, it's really quite easy once you understand what you are doing. :)

Make sure you sit down and do it aswell, practicing is the best way to learn how to do things.
