bleh just wrote a long post about my exploits this weekend and IE killed it!

Been driving round all week in the company wagon and missed my scoob so treated it to some pressies!
here is a picture

http://premium1.uploadit.org/willgill//DSC00198.JPG

fitted full mintex 1144's all round (210 mile journey to get them!)

new motul 550r 0/50 oil

oil catch tank (oohh shiney!)

crank breather filters (again oohh shiney!)

new baileys dump vales (oohh blue shiney!)

new MAF sensor (nicely fixed my dipping idle)

samco hose kits (ancillary and turbo, coolant still to be fitted!)

few carbon fibre bits and pieces

and most importantly a magic tree new car scent air freshner thingy!

all this was done to make way for my new mods which arrive next weekend, GT spec headers (will be wrapped), Garret turbo (undecided on model), custom up pipe with external wastegate (wanted one forever the noise is to die for!) , HKS front mount, 750 injectors and a second 255lph pump.

my bank balance is majorly damaged but who cares!!!

dunno why i posted really, just felt like my hard work should be appreciated :p

maybe 400, maybe more! I rarely use the car anymore so I'm re-kindling my interest by turning it into a beast :)

The mintex 1144s are awesome pads, but they squeal like a stuck pig!

Shiny stuff is being let down a bit by the flakey red paint, that original or did the previous owner use emulsion on it? ;)

all STI inlets manifolds do that, crappy baked paint that subaru use, its on my list of things to sort out but given the total lack of benefit apart from asthetics its way down on the list of things to do.

The 1144's replaced EBC red stuff pads which were truely awesome, only reason I didnt buy more of them was the drive of 318 miles to get hold of them! (curse my car for destroying a pad on friday night!). First impressions are great, no squealling yet and similar fade to the red stuff pads, so given the £107 saving over the red stuff pads they seem to be a good buy :)

RE the baileys dump valve, I've always had/liked them have tried HKS SSQV, super sounds, forge etc.. just like the sound from the baileys, I service mine regularly (like once a month) also I use a reduced diameter gasket and I've never had a problem, only issue was a snapped adaptor but that was my fault for being clumsy :p
