footman: that's brilliant on so many levels, not least that she apparantly thinks that any extraterrestrials are likely to be criminals - a whole new meaning to "we don't want your sort round here". I hope she was joking and yet it would be great if she isn't.
 
It certainly sounds as if your wife has made at least one VERY doubtful choice in her life. Perhaps she will see the error of her ways and get out before it's too late?
