I was looking at the overclockers guide to overclocking and decided to go and overclock my Intel core 2 duo 2.33GHz cpu, on entering the bios I looked for the tab for doing the overclocking and there is absently nothing there to overclock. I’ve looked on HP’s, ASUS and American mega trends for a bios update but all three sites turned up nothing it’s as if my motherboard does not exist . Can anyone help, I’ve thought about replacing the motherboard but only as a last resort.

If it's from a major manufacturer, it's likely a bespoke board with very little branding. It'll probably be an MSI or a Foxconn.

Regardless, you won't be overclocking as OEM boards are designed to be cheap and stable as possible. Overclocking features come with enthusiast and high end boards :)

Still, CPU-Z will probably be able to tell you what model the mobo is.
