Hey guys, I'm not sure what I've done wrong here, but something is definitely amiss :( I have an N95 8GB, got it from O2 in March, just ran Nokia software updater, updated it to the latest (V20?) software, all seemed to go fine, phone was working fine. Then when i retsarted it goes to an O2 style background, with no connection to service, then the screen goes all white, then Nokia logo appears on the screen, then back to the wallpaper screen...this has been cycling for upwards of 20 minutes!

Just did the Nokia welcome tone, and then went to the normal background screen with all buttons etc.. now back to the cycling! :( Any ideas?

Have you tryed switching it off, removing the battery, and leaving it for a few minuites?
Failing that, see if theres some sort of hardware button combination to do a hardware/firmware/factory reset?

Just tried/found a hardware reset of 3+Green Button+* which resets the phone, tried it from there and the reset worked, the second i hit themes to change the display theme, it locked up completely.

Then after a restart gets stuck in the same cycle as above :( When I got it working I re-applied the software update, but still nothing, is there anyways to rollback the firmware and try to see if that works? Or would I be best trying to debrand it?

Cheers.

I never try to upgrade any firmware if its working fine. mine is on v20, never had any probs so far

The latest firmware added automatic screen swivelling based on the internal accelerometer (turn the phone, the screen turns with you) and has improved the battery life on my dads 8GB by about a day...

Might be worth upgrading ;)

With re: to the op: updated my dads N95 8GB (Vodafone) the other day with no issues. Sounds really odd, go back to Nokia or O2 about it.

Have done both, o2 will take it in to look at, but i'll be without a phone for 2 weeks, and they won't fix it I bet due to the firmware being unbranded now :(

Everything seems fine apart from the camera app, and front camera not working in video calls.

Anyone know any 3rd party app that lets you use the front camera for video calls or pic taking, just to test?
