I have an N95 and I'm looking into the possibility of getting bluetooth headphones for it, but I'm worried by one main factor, the battery. Does anyone have any personal experience of using one of these with an N95? What's the average time you can use one without needing a charge? I really want to get one but I don't want to run out of charge and use of my phone if I use it for more than two hours...

Further to this, if anyone has any suggestions for a compatible headset I would be appreciative :)

Thanks Raymond, I surf as well but I really notice the level go down after 12 hours of standard use, I don't want to buy a headset to be faced by limitations in the actual phone and not the accessory... What about headphones/headsets? Any suggestions out there?

The obvious solution is don't use bluetooth, just use normal headphones, or have to carry spares.

he's right you know. it'll last 4...mabye even 5 hours then lol

in all seriousness, just save up for an mp3 player or something. phones, evne the n95 (which i do have and its a great phone) are crap music players.

for my n80/pc i got sony drbt20nx and love it. too bad i didnt know anything about a2dp when i bought it and the n80 doesnt support it :(

What effect does leaving Bluetooth turned on but not connected to anything have?

Reason being I do this with all my phones inc my N95, so that it autosyncs with my car when I get in.

I turned the bluetooth off on mine and the battery does improve a fair bit. Want to get a bluetooth head unit too, might just not bother.

cant touch a decent mp3 player for battery life or sound quality:)

i have no need for a long life or better sounding mp3 player. i want to put my n95 in a bag and leave it by a wall while i get on and do some weights. i wont be in the gym for hours and i certainly dont need the sound to be amazing :]

horses for courses then.

still, 2 hours of music will pretty much leave the phone dead for the rest of the day. i guess its ok if your able to charge the phone straight afterwards.

spare battery ***. also, the phone doesnt get used once im home from the gym, as its normally gone 10pm by then :]

yep. horses for courses:) the sound quality isnt good enough for me. it cant drive my earphones well enough but most importantly, music kills my n95 without doing it wirelessly. i can store more on my little sony mp3 player and it sounds better and its easier to navigate:)
