I am thinking Viewty or HTC Touch Dual. I fancy something touch screen for no reason what so ever :) I am not homosexual so I dont fancy a iPod touch.

What are peoples thoughts? Is going from a N95 to one of the above a down grade? I am actually damn happy with the N95 but just fancy a change. I can always go back for no cost.

I am with T-Mobile Flext25 at the moment plus the bottom Web'n'Walk package.

My phone requirements are simply 3G and Bluetooth (to act as a modem for my N810/Laptop) and a above average camera for snappys when during an average day (have a Canon D400 for proper pics).

Any other phones I should be considering. Thanks for any advice!

After reading the reviews here you'd be better off with the Touch Dual.

Touch screens are OK, the novelty wears off after a while though.

Trying to send a drunk text (like you do) will using the touch typing can be slightly hard.

Id wait and see how the iphone v2 turns out - its apparently due to be launched in May in the US - which isnt long now. The N96 looks pretty interesting too but not sure when that will be out (Prob July/Aug). I personally wouldnt go for a Viewty or an HTC touch (both steps down imo).

(I am in the same quandry as you - its v hard!)

Thanks for the input. Yea I am aware of the N96 coming out in about 3 months according to the Orange Nokia guy I know (they already have a beta in for testing and branding). Hmm decisions decisions.... I probably will go do some road testing tomorrow.

Probably silly getting a new phone just for the sake of it, doesnt cost me anything and my monthly charge will go down too tho so its mighty tempting!

I would wait a few months the only decent upgrade would be a N95 8GB and even then that would be pointless.

The N95 already has HSDPA...

Actually it only runs at half speed when acting as a modem (not sure about when browsing directly on the handset).

I eventually went for a Viewty, reason being is that I wanted more phone and less PDA/Organizer. I have a N810 InternetTablet for that. The Viewty is faster at connecting to HSDPA than the N95 and you get full speed once connected.

Overall quite pleased with the Viewty, nice little phone. Quite slim. The pics are on par with the n95 and the videos are a lot better.

I got quite a nice deal from T-Mobile as well. Free phone, monthly charged reduced by £5 and the first web'n'walk month is for free (already had WnW too!).

Runs at half speed? Tethered to my PC I got nearly the full 1.8mbps that T-Mobile offer. That's half the speed of what the device can cope with, but the full speed the network provides.

if faster than 2-3 seconds to connect to HSDPA is a factor I am suprised!:p

Well T-Mobile told me its the other way around. The N95 is the limiting factor not the network. Maybe placebo effect then and its all in my head :p

I cant imagine what is out there that would make a big difference to you! I would honestly leave it a few months and see if something better comes along! No point rushing if your phone is fine as it is
