N95 GPS

Is it just me, or has the GPS on the N95's improved massively?!

I've always used the A-GPS and it used to take me about 1-2mins to connect every time. Now, it literally takes under 10secs (tested it about 15 times to make sure it wasn't a fluke!). What gives (not that i'm complaining though, it's amazing!)?

Recent firmwares have improved the GPS massively on the N95.

Recent firmwares have improved the GPS massively on the N95.

updated the firmware about 4-5 months ago to the latest one and tried the gps, but it still took about 2 mins to connect when i was standing outside with no tree's around. Then just tried using my gps last week and now it connects in 10secs when i'm sitting inside!

I love my N95 again!

You know what, when I used my Garmin sat nav on my N95 8GB the other day I noticed that it locked a lot sooner than usually. It took something like 5 seconds and this was with me driving, too.

I am heading out in a few minutes so I will give it another whirl and see if its the same.

Mines fantastic now,finally Nokia have fixed this phones, its only 6 months old.

To any of you sporty fellows, try the Nokia Sports tracker,it works in conjunction with the GPS, and log runs etc.

mine works a lot quicker now I've updated to version 20 firmware for the black 8gb verison

Mines actually stopped working! Worked fine before but now i can't get a lock anywhere?
