Naseem Hamed jailed for car crash

Wow, I never expected that. I don't follow boxing, but I will watch a fight if it's on. I'm no expert, but he really doesn't look in any physical state to make a comeback, but what do I know.

Anyone caught driving like that should be banned for life, don't see why the courts don't do it more often to be honest.

Still I guess his comeback is on hold now :p

Deserved it really. Remember reading it in the paper.

The guy he struck @ 90MPh head on, broke a load of bones in his body. Legs mostly. Was in a wheelchair and crutches for a long time. No sure if he is now though. He was driving a mk3 Golf iirc.

Just comes to show you, a £325,000 McLaren can really save your life. I bet he feels its money well spent. The Golf was a mangled mess.

Looks to me that he was wanting to get home in a rush. The road shown in the paper, as pretty straight. About 5-10 mins from his house. I think he was trying to over take someone.

Wow  I thought our courts didnt jail celebs!!

Used to enjoy his fights/showmanship when he first burst on the scene but as his ego got bigger and the entrances more elaborate and stupid he lost any fight he had in him and the Barrera fight showed him up for what he had become.

Sounds like the ego and arrogance hasnt changed if he thought doing 90 in a 30 was acceptable :(

and all his talk about comebacks is a joke look at him now! He hasnt got the desire to get himself in anysort of shape again the only desire he's got is to make a few bob beating some bums.

He deserves longer. I just watched the BBC news, and the man he hit is now disabled, and will be for the rest of his life.

Agreed.

Shame on the DVLA for not releasing details of his 4 previous offences due to invasion of Hamed's 'Human Rights'!

I can't stand the arrogant little man. The reason he gave when he overtook a car on the hill is that 'The car in front kept braking hard so the driver could get a better look at me'.

funny, it was his brother who was driving the car... + they were about the sell the car for 400k

Really? It's funny I thought that a little detail like that may have been talked about by the police or mentioned in court...

The report said that the guy in the Golf fractured EVERY major bone in his body.

I personally think Nas should've gone down for longer, at least 3 years

should have been longer i agree with you all.

I bet he will be in an open prison in no time though and wont be long before hes let out home on weekends etc.

He will have the screws eating out of his hand, money talks :o
