NEC motorbike show?

Just got back from a rubbish trip home, still i'm home.

Was good to see the HP4 Carbon in the flesh, beautiful. Also the GS Rallye floated my boat, disappointingly the KTM Adventure range didn't, nor the new Honda Africa Twin 'Adventure'.

NEC Bike show is not as big as it used to be, few bargains there, especially pair deals on tyres, but came away empty handed.

Short selection of pics taken with a potato, couldn't be bothered to lug my dslr this year!

Just something to consider: Been seeing messages in the local bike groups warning off taking your bike upto NEC. Apparently people are going round and removing parts off the bikes. Site security didnt seem too fussed and the NEC FB page deleted their post warning other bikers.

When I was there on Monday, the motorbike parking was indoors and looked safe, there were 2 blokes on the door and 2 walking around the room that the bikes were in.

I’m sure anyone walking around unsupervised will get asked to leave sharpish.

It was fine when I went. Parked in doors after getting a tag from security. No problems from me and unless you've got a bike yourself then I doubt security would let anyone randomly wander about in there.

The problem is just because you own a bike doesn't mean you're not a thieving scrote as well.

Wife picked up a Schuberth C4 with the Advanced Comms System for a very good price and a very nice Oxford Rucksack.

She also spent a fair bit of time with the BMW Instructor Team discussing training and bike options with them as she is vertically challenged but was pleasantly surprised when they got her on a F700GS and discovered she could touch the ground even on the standard version so the lowered version will be almost perfect :)

And I had a long conversation with the BMW Off Road Skills instructors and was told in no uncertain terms that I would be able to take part in the courses they do even with my spinal injury as they would be extremely happy to work round it but not cut anything out of the course, so I will be booking onto that for next year :)

I was thinking about buying a Kriega R30 Rucksack but refused to pay £160, it may be good quality but not that nice.

Came very close to buying a full set of Klim Carlsbad gear and a set of Mosko Moto Luggage but the wife took my credit card away from me which is fair enough as I have a full set of BMW Ali luggage already on the bike and it doesn't really need replacing but the Mosko Moto stuff looks so damn nice.....
