Can anyone recommend a 5.1 surround system that is very compact. My new LED samsung is only 3cm from the wall and i don't want to spoil the look of the install with ugly speakers.

I see that Sony have some tiny satellites but at the cost of midrange. Is there anything out there that wont break the bank with hdmi or optical output and input? I am on a budget, i will consider 2nd hand equipment if anyone can recommend anything suitable.

Thanks

Gie us a clue as to what your budget is then!
A "budget" 5.1 speaker set and av receiver for a home cimema is generally around £400-500 for new gear.

Sorry lack of info, i have pulled the trigger on speakers now...

I got a set of Harman Kardon HKTS 7 speakers at a very very good price, not as small as i wanted but they will do the job and i can hide them in the corners of the room.

What i need now is an amp to connect a DVD player the TV and a Virgin HD+ box. I was looking at the Sony STR-DG820, but its discontinued. Any recommendations on a 5.1 or more amp for £250ish?
