Need a chainstay protector...

So providing the stock comes in on time I should be getting my new bike at the weekend and I want to get a chainstay protector.

Any particular ones that are recommended?

It'll be to go on a Mongoose Tyax Elite if it matters (size-wise).

You should get either a Specialized neoprene one, or a strip of innertube wrapped around and some cable ties.

Brother has a standard specialized one with the cable lug things cut out of it,looks good.

I have just a standard jumbo lizard skin and it does the trick.

Did the old innertube+ziptie thng on my old bike and i always hated how it looked.

Tried them but it sucks, because it doesn't wrap around the entire tubing of the frame the end peels off, if you strap it with cable ties then the gaps bubbles/peels up. The sticky bit then traps all the dirt.

What size is yours?

Hardtail, Universal, etc?

Don't mean to sound impatient, but I could do with ordering it soon if I want it to arrive by the end of the week.

I have a full susser bike, not sure what size that is, got it in the LBS free when I bought the bike. They ripped it off another Spez bike and put it on mine, funny thing is they pulled it off a Rockhopper (A Hardtail).

Hmm... think I'll go for the hardtail.

I leave it an hour or so before buying incase anyone else has any idea of what to get.
