Dont be ridiculous the cpu/psu/mobo are fine for what he wants, he just needs to upgrade to 4gb ram and get a better gfx card, simples.

I would recommend either the GeForce GT 430 1024MB or the ATI Radeon HD 5570 1024MB, both are DX11 cards costing roughly £50 from OCUK and DX11 gives a performance boost in WoW post patch 4.0 over DX9 cards due to the more efficient codepath.

Get 2gb more ram, and a 430/450 gtx. You want DX11 as WoW is improving upon it.

Is it worth investing an extra £30-40 for a 450 over a 430?
Also, what're the different variations about within each model? Is it nothing more then paying a bit extra for a little more oomph?

Could you also advise me on which RAM to buy?

I vote for 5750 + 2GB RAM (make sure you have enough RAM slots though)
