As the title... my old Antec 480W with a single rail seems to be either dieing or not capable of what I`m trying to get it to cope with.

Comp:
x2 AMD MP2100+
Gigabyte 7DPXDW Workstation Mobo
1GB DDR Registered ECC RAM
Akasa Ultraquiet HSF 80mm
30GB Western Digital Caviar 8MB 7200rpm
120GB Western Digital Caviar 8MB 7200rpm
Possible addition of further drives or larger drives.
DVD-RW
x3 120mm fans
x2 80mm fans

I would have thought your current PSU could handle that.

If you're getting a new one the Seasonic ones are good plus very quiet!!

Your Antec should be fine but if it isn't and you are sure that it is the problem then my question is do you need any sort of special connectors because it is a server/multi-processor system?

If not Seasonic as mentioned, Enermax, Tagan or FSP are all worth looking at, maybe aim for around 500w since the PSUs efficiency deteroriates over time.

I took my Noisetaker out of my P180 case (what a chore that was) and tried it and I got the same problems... darn it... so thanks for the replies but looks like I might have to trash this computer...
