Need a sanity check on this

My recommendation would be to wait (presuming you already have a half decent cooler?) and do the whole job properly once you've decided what you're going to do.

no point planning to do something, and actually doing something else :)

Hey Cleeecooo it's a new build based around the IB i5K and the Asus MVG but in a SFF case, the case is the reason I didn't go for a closed loop solution.

Do you think you can spec something for a similar price that isn't a kit?

Which case is it?

Here's a quick go at a custom loop:

YOUR BASKET
1 x OcUK Tech Lab - Alphacool DC-LT Ceramic 12V Pump, Top & Reservoir Value Combo £49.98
1 x XSPC RayStorm CPU WaterBlock (Intel) £49.98
1 x EK-CoolStream RAD XTX (120) £39.98
1 x Mayhems Pastel - Blueberry Blue Coolant 1L £14.99
1 x Scythe Gentle Typhoon 120mm 1450 RPM - 3 Pin £13.99
1 x XSPC HighFlex Hose 7/16" ID, 5/8" OD, 15.9/11.1mm, 2m, Clear £5.99
6 x EK 12mm (1/2") G1/4 High-Flow Barb Fitting £2.96 (£17.76)
Total : £204.10 (includes shipping : £9.50).

However, I will say this: Kits will often be better value for money, so i'd recommend going for one of those, unless you want something specific.

This kit would be my choice:

That is, ofcourse, if you have the space. It's a little more than the basket I specced yet it comes with most of the same things, some are even better.

Thanks for the spec.

Major bummer, just for the measuring tape out on the case, there's no way I'll get water cooling in, I'll be pushed to even find a decent aftermarket cooler.

I've been eyeing up a Noctua nh-ch but I dont know if that will fit either FFS, the case has a HDD tray and the support bar for that will block (I think) the installation of the fan. Not happy.

Which aspect will you not be able to fit in?

Well looking at the case there's no way to get the rads mounted internally, I don't want to consider external.

The Noctua I was looking at although not too tall (one of the few that will fit vertically) It's just too huge in girth UH ERRR.

This is what I'm working with, see the double HDD bay, the total depth of the case if something like 35 cm, with the Noctua at 14Cm width I just don't think it'll fit.
