Need advice Re/ new GFX card, please!

All very old and outdated, i know.....


What would be a cheap, but worthwhile upgrade path for this PC? I'm thinking only the GFX card.

No don't bother. Your 8800GT is fine for your current system (you can overclock it if you want a bit better performance). Any card higher than a GTS250 (9800GTX+ rebranded)/4850 level you would barely notice any increase in performance by upgrading your graphic card, as your current CPU would be holding it back.

You next upgrade should really be a platform upgrade... a decent Quad-core system, and then a better graphic card.
