Hi there,
Was hoping for advise on my current motherboard and where to go from here.
I currently use a i7 7700 cpu paired with a MSI H110M PRO-VD (MS-7996) motherboard.
It's a micro board, fairly outdated I imagine.

I want a motherboard that'll help with gaming, so what's a good board that isn't too pricey?
I want to spend £80-150. £200 if it's REALLY worth it.

Cheers guys :)

What's the rest of your system specification?
Buying a better motherboard won't do diddly squat for gaming performance and its a good chip so I'd be looking at ram and graphics card.

What screen resolution are you gaming at?

Ram is 16gb, actually don't remember speeds too much on this one..
I just bought myself a new evga 1080 FTW. And my screen is a standard samsung 27" Full HD

Only thing you can find is a z170/z270 mobo that has a BLCK chip that you can overclock the non K chip via bus speed .

Prob would just sink cash into a 1440p monitor which puts more work on GPU then CPU

Any preference on a monitor? Ideally want best for buck. Cheers

depends on cash, IPS 60hz 1440p would be a nice paring for GTX 1080 as a standard 1080p 60hz is wasted on that card.
if you have £400 budget then MSI do a 1440p 144hz freesync monitor. wont be able to use the sync tech but is most games 1080 will be able to drive games over the 60fps/60hz limit of the monitor .

worth running an overlay when your gaming , see CPU and GPU usage at 1080p and then render the game at 1440p and should notice GPU increase and CPU decrease in usage

Agree with the above, a better monitor would be a the best upgrade, your a little over powered for 1080p gaming.
Also as above 1440 60hz or if budget allows a 144hz.
