Have just loaded Vista 32 and my few adobe programs on to my 160Gb SATA drive.

I do a lot of work with photos and movies so I am thinking that I should get a second big drive for storing files on

Is this a good idea and can you recommend a good drive under £100

Thanks

J

How much space do you need? In terms of value for money then 320-500Gb is where you should be looking. - WD AAKS or Seagate 7200.10 for speed, Samsung for low noise.

If your putting everything on one drive have you considered a backup strategy?

I already have 2 backup externals so the fail safe is covered

Is there a particularly good value drive about at the minute? Any good offers on the mothersite?

Price wise they're all pretty close for 320Gb, at 500Gb the Hitachi and Samsungs are pretty expensive compared to the WDs and Seagates. Nothing in this week only other than £7 off a 1Tb Hitachi.
