NEED HELP BUYING A MONITOR! asap :)

I hope that you are pleased with the 2350V when it finally arrives. Although you seem have become a bit carried away by what is still an LCD monitor with a slightly different backlight (as hinted at during several posts in this thread) you have been fortunate enough to have seen it first hand. That's always an advantage as your expectations shouldn't be unrealistic for when it arrives.

hey thanks. i have to say though, i wouldnt say carried away because i saw the difference for myself and recognised that the overall intensity and impact of the image is for me completely worth the extra bit of money, i know i would regret it if i didnt buy the better model. the fact that it is only the backlight doesnt really matter, because it really does transform the whole picture into something more impressive, especially on something like call of duty world at war where there are loads of dark shadows and reflections from rain etc then lightning flashes, it really does look impressive.

to relate it to something that more users can relate to, i dont suppose a lot of people have used an LED screen compared to an LCD, but anyway to me the difference is on a good LCD screen, running a game or movie in 720p, then running it in 1080p and seeing the difference. not the same thing i know, but it is that noticable impressive difference between LCD screen and a similar screen but LED backlit, just sharper, more intense, a better thing entirely.

have to pick up on this as well,
'That's always an advantage as your expectations shouldn't be unrealistic for when it arrives.'
you're so right, it's easy to go OOH 500,000:1 contrast ratio 300cd brightness 2ms super fast response and when you get it it's just optimum settings or something and realistically it's no different to the 17" dell 4:3 thing ive got at home other than it's bigger.
you really do have to see it before you buy it, this kind of money it's not worth the risk of being disappointed!

Going to wrap this one up guys,
collected my LG E2350V LED Monitor and it's ******* brilliant.
It's 23" so it's huge, especially when I'm sitting only about 12"-24" away, super clear, really perfect whites and great contrast, really quick and responsive, nice stand and nice touch sensitive interface for messing with the special features like cinema mode and f engine enhancements
i really cannot fault it, it's the best monitor i've ever seen, only owned a couple but seen plenty including big dells and Mac screens and this is the most impressive display i've seen. thanks ocuk <3

and thanks you guys for all your advice! in the end i thought, for an extra £20 is the LED worth the money?
The answer is yes. It just is, it's lovely to look at, so crisp and bright and pleasant, true colours and just impressive from any angle.
