Hi guys,
I am new here, hope we will enjoy helping out each other :)
I would like to ask for your advise. I am planning to buy a new PC, but I am not sure if I should wait a bit more for new releases or price drops.
Any suggestions are welcomed.
To-buy list:
CPU: Intel i5
Mobo: unknown (help here)
VGA: some decent VGA That would last me at least 2 years  (HD4870? or maybe HD58xx?)
RAM: 4Gb+ ddr3 ?
HDD: i have an external 1tb, so for my main desktop 500-750 is ok.
PSU: I've got one, pretty good one, Seasonic 430W
Monitor: probably here I would need to increase my budget, 24" monitor
Thanks for your help

Im not sure what conversion rates are like at the moment but I think what your asking is a pretty tall order.

EDIT -
1 Euro = 0.92000251 British pounds (according to google)
600 Euro = £552

EDIT2 -
Using your 430W (I would really want a 500W) and with no screen

Hm, I see, thanks mate. Although, I am thinking to throw in some extra cash, I want to get a good VGA, so maybe like under 600sterling

well thats a max budget of £550 (ish)

an i5 (cheapest) comes in at about £150

cheapesti5 mobo is around £100

DDR3 RAM will be a bit under £100

I doubt your PSU will handle it but you can probalby get a decent enough one for just over £50

GFX, if you want 2 years future proof then you have to have a 58** that means £200 for a 5850 or £300 for a 5870

HDD will be £50

a 24" monitor start at £150

these are the cheapest (or worst) of each part and the totall of £800, quite a lot higher than your £550

either re-think what you need/want or rethink your budget

EDIT: also no cooler or case or cd drivfe in there

Here is mine. What do you think about it?
P.S. excl. VAT price, since I have a VAT number.
Also, I think I will stick to my crappy 17" TFT for now

That processor you chose EARNEST is OEM which means it comes with NO CPU cooler, so youll need to add the cost of a cooler too!

Also the board is dual channel and your buying a tripple channel kit.. Stick with 4gb its cheaper and youll be fine!

I5 750 build

1)Use the stock cooler on the 750 until you get the cash to buy an aftermarket cooler
2) 5850 added as its power draw is low and will help since your on a small PSU plus its looking to be a very nice card
3) Mobo does xfire only so will have to stick with ati card if you want to run 2 cards in the future
4)Samsung f3 hd added, very fast drive and i read its not that abd re effeciency
5) Stick with 4gb of g-skill for cost and its nice ram too

You MIGHT be able to get away with this rig on your powersupply

£549 without VAT and postage as requested

If you can stretch to £600 get the PSU below for £56 exc VAT which puts it to around £605 total without VAT

OCZ 600w PSU

Oh, I see...Should I consider x3 channel mobo?

Additional:

the i5 750 and ATI 5850 will Eat around 320W on full load Leaving 110w on your PSU for the rest of the rig!

There are no tripple channel boards for the 1156 socket processors only the 1366 socket which houses the i7 920 etc, stick with the dual channel DDR3

OK. Thanks a lot, amigo!
Should I wait till like October-November for prices to drop?
And I think I might get another PSU to be sure everything runs smooth
Shipping to Malta (Europe) is around 50 pounds, damn it.

Important rule when building a rig.
Don't skimp on PSU.:D

Why?

Well yeah hence why ive got a 750w sat in my ancient PC i always go overboard on the PSU for what i personally need.

Only real was hes going to get a PSU in to his budget is drop the 5850 and repalce it with an ATI 4890 and add something like 600w Modular OCZ for £64

Cheap PSU's fry pc's at worst.... at best... underpower them!

If had 2 PSu's Blow up, 1 died silently the other one went with a horribly loud bang with a massive blue spark inside the PSU and a burning smell.
Funnily enough the one that physically blew up didnt take any components with it..... luck i guess

Also they were both 600w that cost about £70 each!

Thanks all, now I know what direction I should look at. Probably, I am going to wait for couple of weeks.

Waiting is a good idea on your burget.
+1 for getting a decent PSU, ideally Corsair, Be Quiet, Pc P&C . . .

Another +1 for a new PSU, do you really want to run all those shiny new components with an older underpowered PSU. Don't do it.
