Well i am very soon gonna switch from AGP to PCI-E and i need some help in choosing a Motherboard as i am not to Familiar with these PCI-E setups.
But the Hardware i will be using is as follows

AMD 64 San Diego Skt 939

Corsair 2GB 2x1GB of RAM

My PCI-E Graphics Card is gonna be a single X1900XTX im not considering getting another and doing crossfire as i havnt got the money :(

i will want to use SATA as my Hard drives

and i have a Enermax Noisetaker 485W PSU will i need to buy another PSU to work on the new motherboard or will the connectors of the enermax i have work on the PCI-E motherboard?

what motherboards do you suggest folks?

Thanks.

Epox 9NPA+ Ultra, great board, overclocks well, one PCI E, 3 Pci , 3 Pci x1. SATA II if you get the ultra version, can usually be had for about £70, its a shame OcUK dont stock it anymore.

Oh and about the PSU, if your psu has a 24pin connector it should be fine, otherwise you could get a 20 to 24pin converter but im not sure how well these work.

So what from OcUk are people recomending, as i am in the same boat. Recon it's worth waiting for the new ati chipset, something 600?
I have always used Asus Boards as not the most savage overclocker, but like something rock solid with nice features.

cheers

I used the A8V Deluxe before upgrading to the AN8-SLI Premium, if your not going to crossfire then this would be a good stable upgrade, it's good for me anyway.

The Asus A8N32-SLi Deluxe, a few people will recommend this one but depends if you want to spend £100+ on a new mobo.

If your thinking of Crossfire, I would wait till Abit & DFI bring out there versions they maybe better than the Asus, but we will have to wait & see.

Great, thanks for the replies guys, well i was thinking of some Asus Boards as some other people i asked recommended those also i dont mind spending around £100 for a new Mobo, its ok.

I know this may sounds like abit of a silly question, but do ATi graphics cards work on SLi motherboards?
