Looking to upgrade to a new rig, first time I'll be moving to Intel been with AMD for about 9 years, any way I have a budget of around £1,000.

*Intel i7 920 D0 S1366 £211.80
*Asus P6T SE £141.65
* x2 6GB (3x2GB) Corsair XMS3 DDR3 (1600MHZ) £191.18
*1GB Asus HD 4890 ATI 850MHZ 800 cores £159.82
*750W silverstone Modular SLI QUAD+12v rail, 6x PCI-E, ATX 12V 2.2 & EPS12V 80%+eff, silent £94.06 (Will this work for crossfiring )
*Noctua NH-U12P SE1366 CPU cooler £54.38
*1TB Seagate Barracuda 7200rpm 32mb Cache £59.81

Total + VAT £923.53
Havent yet chosen a case yet hoping the current case I have will be enough space for these components, its an case from 2006 which i got when i brought a rig from meshcomputers.com

Thanks

Looks good, but I wouldnt be getting 12 gig of RAM, no need for 99% of users, the PSU will work yes, however Id recomend a new case, an antec 902 would be good, I expect the mesh one has poor cooling, and that rigs gonna chuck out a lot of heat, especially if you clock, which I assume by the cooler you will
Now all that being said, what you actually going to use the rig for? because it may be overkill for your needs

As a media student going be doing some hard core video converting as most of my projects require it along with special effects such as 3D animation and rendering in real time. I have dome some changes since I was told I'll get better performance out of a I7 860 £218.70 with a Asus P7P55D LE £100.68 and a Arctic Cooling Freezer 7 Pro v2 £18.39, which brings me down to £853.47

Yeah... still don't think 12GB is warranted. 6GB will easily be more than enough.

So removed the 12GB ram add the 6GB (3x2GB) Corsair XMS3 DDR3, PC3-12800 (1600MHz), 240 Pin, Non-ECC Unbuffered, CAS 9-9-9-24 which brought be down to £757.88, hoping that fan can support a 3.6-3.8ghz overclock.
