Need help with FOOTBALL MANAGER 2006

Ok,

So I started unemployed, I applied for all the teams that were availible and I got nowhere. So now Im stuck and I just keep clicking continue for ages and no new jobs come up.

What do I do?

Same happened to me it must be a game bug. I just close my eyes and pick a random conference team then work my way up.

When I started I picked the England league I think, it said do you want 4 leauges and not knowing much about footie apart from MAN UTD is great I said ok.

WOOO LIVERPOOL WON TODAY!

Anyway what should I do?

Have you got the latest FM06 patch? It is 6.0.3 and you can get it from here.

It might also be a good idea to try the "Recommended" setup option on the league page. This is where the game picks and chooses leagues and countries those leagues are in according to your PC setup. A faster machine with lots of RAM will mean the game chooses more countries and more leagues in those countries that a slower PC with less RAM.

Or just manually select a country or countries you want in the game and just chose all the leagues for that country.

What PC spec have you got? If it is nice and fast choose more countries and leagues, if it is a bit slow then it would be better to limit yourself in terms of countries and leagues.

I have a high end spec- 3800+ 2.4, 2gb ram, 7800GTX.

I clicked reccomended setup and I got 4 nations and 12 leagues come up. I updated the patch and applied to all the jobs that where there, and all of them did not employ me.

WTF do i do? Are you even supposed to start unemployed?

Does your age matter?

You can start unemployed if you really want to, but most people simply choose a club and get on with the game.

As for how, well, unsuprisingly, when setting up your manager character, you select a team in the "choose team to manage" button, rather than leaving it empty.

In that case you can have loads of leagues running. See what the PC chooses for you.

Not really, although if you put in your real DOB and your age is under 35 or something, I can't remember the exact age, then the game changes your year of birth to make you a bit older. Couldn't have the likes of Man Utd, Chelsea, Arsenal, Liverpool etc being run by teens and whatnot could we?
