Sorry for such a lame question, but we have a bit of a family crisis going on involving someone we dont want to contact us back, the question is ..

can anyone tell me the number prefix to add to a mobile number so the receipent of a text message cant see the senders number ?

Im pretty sure it does exist, the phone is on Orange.

is there not just a setting in the phone that disables own number sending?

I think my dad says its 141, but it didnt work, i will try again myself. Unfortunatly the phones we have, the setting only bars the number on calls - tested it and it didnt work, cheers guys , will keep trying.

Seems you cant anymore, just looked it up, some rubbish about peado's.
