Need some new headphones...For PC "with Mic" and 360...Sharkoon X-TATIC 5.1 ?
Hi all you sound Junkies! I just broke my crap headphones and i have decided to invest on some new headphones. I would like some that have a mic...

I wouldnt want to spend more than £50 but if something jumps out at me then i mite be turned.

When browsing OcUK i found these
Sharkoon X-TATIC 5.1 II Dolby Digital 5.1 Gaming Headset >http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showpr...=22&subcat=692
£64.61 inc VAT

The new revision of the Dolby-certified 5.1 channel headset “X-Tatic 5.1” is equipped with a completely new microphone. The wearing comfort was improved by velvet-like ear pads. The existing technology of the decoder box was upgraded to fit the actual market demands. Of course the headset still is suitable for almost any sound source, such as PC, Xbox, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 2 and supports the multiplayer voice chat technologies, such as Xbox Live. Also the universal connectivity over optical toslink, digital coax, RCA or analog stereo jacks was kept in order to offer you countless possibilities to easily connect the X-Tatic 5.1 to your favorite device.

- 5.1 channel headset
- 8 speakers for perfect surround sound
- Audio Control Station (Master Volume Control)
- 4-in-1 volume control (separate volume adjustment
- Removable microphone
- Supported Sound modes Stereo, Dolby™ Pro Logic™, Dolby™ Digital 2.0, Dolby™ Digital 5.1
- TD (Time Delay)/DRC (Dynamic Range Control)
- Xbox™ / Xbox 360™ and PlayStation 2™ compatible
- Supports Xbox™ Live™ voice chat feature
- High wearing-comfort due to velvet-like earpads

I realy like the fact i can use my xbox live chat mic with them...Does any one know/or have these. I have tried to find some reviews on them with no luck.

Max Budget £100. Would like to spend £50

See what you can do please.

There have been quite a few threads started lately asking pretty much the same question. Have a browse, there's plenty info for you already available.

get a pair of sennheiser hd555 or hd595 if you can stretch your budget.

But you can't use Senn's on your Xbox 360 like the OP wants it to, unless running your 360's sound through your PC soundcard

Yes you can use your sennheiser hd555 on your 360, however it DOES NOT plug into the controller, its actually one of the most commonly used headphones in competitive gaming (major league gaming etc..)

The only disadvantage is that you would have to use a separate mic (most people tend to use a standard MS one around their neck)

This can also be used on your pc for general multimedia use. Most people would recommend a separate desktop/ clip-on mic for pc gaming (eg. logitech desktop/ zalman clip-on)

At £49.99 sits perfectly within your budget :)

How do you use it on your 360?
