Need Specced For £600ish

A friend of mine has had an unfortunate incident with his current PC and basically needs to replace all the major stuff; CPU, Mobo, RAM, GPU, and possibly case and PSU (I'd imagine he'll need a new PSU).

Basically he has around £600 to spend, but I'm sure he'd spend a little bit more if it was a little over, or would offer a good increase in performance. He's pretty happy just playing CSS/BF2/Quake 4, and is looking for a spec with a slant towards a better CPU than the GPU.

Yea, he doesn't need a new drive or HDD, just told him to take that and add it to a GPU or whatever. Thanks for the help.

Edit: He's liking the idea of an 8800GTS, so basically would he need a larger PSU for that?

Right, thanks for all the help so far, but he has another question, he has two old IDE HDD and is wondering if there is a way to connect them upto that motherboard.
