Hi all

I'm trying to place a file in the "extended pids" folder of an android app I'm using called torque pro.

Now on my sony phone I can do this fine by connecting the phone to a pc, I enable the view hidden folders option and the folder is there, then I place the file and all the extra options are there when I run the app.

I'm trying to do exactly the same thing on a huawei t3 7 inch media pad and have enabled the option to view folders but the extended pids folder just isn't there.

Can anyone help?

Thanks for the responses folks. Tried both these apps but the folder still isn't there :(

I suspect that when installing on the Huawei device the folder doesn't install for some reason.

I've created a folder in the app and placed the file there but still no joy.

Any other suggestions?

ES File Explorer allows it, it's what I've used for years and doesn't have a trial period, hidden files is a free feature.
I highly recommend you not to use ES, it's even been removed for violating the Play store policy: https://www.androidpolice.com/2019/...lay-store-possibly-part-of-do-global-scandal/

@bainbridge Dumb question but have you opened the app? Maybe you need to start the app up first time to properly create the folders first before you can see and access them.

Thanks for your response, both the suggested file managers were uninstalled after being unable to locate the folder but thanks for the heads up.

Yes I've run the app but still no joy :(

Solid is still a good explorer and is my recommended one.

What is the folder path usually? Have you tried checking Android -> data -> Torque Pro and see if it's there?

EDIT: Just found this: https://torquebhp.fandom.com/wiki/How_to_add_extended_PIDs

I'm assuming you already created a folder called ".torque" on the root of your internal memory, then made a folder in that called "extendedpids" and copied the CSV file to there?
