Need to silence, or at least quieten my 8500GT

Im using this to output to my HDTV over component. Im looking to make it quieter. Anyone have any ideas? This is the noisiest component in the system now.

Also wondering how to get the best quality from this on a Toshiba 37WLT66. Im currently using Component over the HDTV link. Ive found that VGA is crap. Anyone have any experience with this also?

Why didn't you buy a passive card? Don't think there are any 3rd party add-ons available yet to make it passive.

There's no official word of it fitting the 8500GT but as far as I'm aware, the 8500GT and 8600GT use the same PCB used on the 6600GT/7300GT/7600GS/7600GT. Mounting holes shouldn't have changed either.

I didnt realise how noisy it would be. Thought it might have been like the 8800, but i guess not . . .

Might find some specs for the accelero

EDIT: Ive also found an 8500 from IChill with an accelero S" on it. Guess they do fit after all . . . But ill check as i have the specs for the accelero.
