Where I live there is shared parking round the back of the houses, everyone respects each other and leaves room for other people except my neighbours who seem to think they can take up 4 spaces. There's only room for 1 or 2 spaces per house, so taking up 4 spaces is a bit selfish I think, most other people double up like we do. What often makes it worse is that they can't park for **** and end up taking even more space!

Who's best to complain to about this, the council, will they even do anything? I think this is petty but it's annoying when I have to park my car across the road or keep having to swap our cars around for whoever leaves first in the morning.

Complain to chuck norris, he always sorts it out. What i am trying to say is, unless you stand up for youself you will/may get rolled over.

Serious reply: if it's private land the council or police won't do anything I think. Probably best to just talk to them and the other residents.

"speak to the council" - lol.

Just talk to your neighbours politely about it..? You know, that's the normal way real life problems are sorted. Not on GD.

If you dont want to have the confrontation write a letter and get the other residents to sign it then put it under their door.

If it continues block them in. If that doesn't work go down the poo through the letter box/murder with fire route.

:D had the exact same thing at our place, it had been going on for a few years then 1 day my flat mate got in from work after a stressed day and unable to park outside ours cause the neighbour 4 doors away was parked outside ours in the middle of 2 bays.. my flat mate was f'ing and blinding...
""****ing wayne, ****ing wayne and his parking, i wanna punch his lights out""
id also had enough of his inconsiderate parking so straight away ive said im up for it and weve gone round there, tbh ive never seen my flat mate rage quite like he did to 'wayne', he **** bricks, he moved his car straight away and hasnt parked outside ours since.
tbh though i really wished we'd nipped that in the bud when he first moved in and started parking outside ours, would have saved some stress and got it over with.
my advice is man up and go tell him that hes causing problems, be firm and direct its the only way
