The cost of a 5m nest cable is quite frankly ridiculous.
Can I use the USB one instead? Ie the one that comes with it?

Personally I don't see why not. Anyone done this?

I don't understand what this is asking, the usb cable is the power lead? There is only one cable that goes in which is the usb c one.

There's a cable which comes with the cam:
USB-c male to propriety connector

Separately there's a 5m cable:
UK Plug to proprietary connector .

I'm not sure if there's any difference in water proofing, the connector may be slightly different etc.

Surely if there is only one that comes with it you can use it? Why would you need to buy a power cable separately? I have the older nest iq outdoors and it's just USB c to USB c but with a fancy weather proof shield on one end so it can be locked into the camera.

This cam. Is designed to be able to be taken off the wall and charged. That is what the cable is for.
