I currently connect to the internet via an ADSL wired modem in my bedroom.
I've have a phone socket in my bedroom which is an extension from downstairs.
I'm moving house and don't want to run wires up the stairs.

If i buy a Netgear DG834PN 108Mbps Rangemax Wireless ADSL2 Modem/Router/Switch/Firewall (NW-083-NG) am I right in saying that i can just sit it downstairs next to the phone point and connect to it from my computer upstairs using a Netgear WPN311 Rangemax PCI Adapter (NW-080-NG).

Is it that simple?
Do i need anything else?
What are USB adapters like in comparsion to the PCI adapters?

In theory, yes, it is that simple.

I'd personally avoid USB for anything networking related, plus PCI cards tend to have bigger antennas.
