I bought a Netgear DGN2200 ADSL2+ Wireless-N Modem Router from OCUK last month and the first one got sent back due to the wireless not even sending a signal at all... no worries, OCUK offered a refund or replacement so I opted for a replacement as I've never ever had problems with netgear I was sure it was a 1 off glitch.... now 1 month later with the new router I've noticed it starts dropping the wireless signal randomly, sometimes it takes 12 hours before it drops but a lot of the time its every hour randomly for about 1 minute then it reconnects automatically no problem.....

what the hell is the dealio? is this router causing anyone else jip?

its only got 1 firmware version and multiple clients yup :( when it dies the router lights dont indicate it has a problem either

I'd ask for cash back or to swap it for a different model. If the worst comes to the worst and you have a spare ethernet port, plug in a standalone access point.

in my experience some Netgear routers are quite prone to overheating.

try seeing if it's hot when it cuts out?

its on a nice cold deep windowsill so wont be over heating at all, I'm put in for a RMA but want to give it a few more days just to be 100% sure
