On the Netgear ReadyNas 104, it has 2 network ports.

Does this just allow for dual bandwidth or could I use it in the following config..

Route -> NAS -> PC

The reason I ask is it would be nice to have the NAS in my room with my PC, but I only have 1 network port in the room.

I don't know (doubt it will act as a pass-through though)
The simplest solution is just to buy a small gigabit switch and plug both NAS and PC into it and it into the wall, job's a good'un

It isnt passthrough, but both cards can be binded for different load balancing options. Or left unbinded and have 2 IPs.

Thanks for the replies. Sounds like it will do the job either way.

Can you set-up multiple raid configs e.g. Have 2 of the drives running in raid 1, and the other 2 drives in raid 0.

I'm planning of fitting 4 x 2TB drives. 2 x 2TB drives will contain work info so I would like them in raid 1 for safety and they will also be backing up to cloud storage every night. The other 2 x 2TB drives will be for storing non critical info such as music and videos etc.
