Network Download Speeds.

At my girlfriends university there is a file sharing program called LUserNet ran across the internal network, her old desktop got 2mb/s, the new laptop however is only getting 60kb/s with the firewall off, and network card set to 100BaseTXFullDuplex, any ideas why this is?

Um, a little slow for an internal network. It's probberly down to a congested network can you get hold of a different machine and use the same network port to verify the speeds are down to the laptop and not the network.

It is the laptop, the speeds are supposed to be ==2mb/s.
