Network Storage Adapter or NAS/USB Enclosure?

Hi guys,

I'm looking to buy a 500GB hard drive, but I would like to use it as both NAS and USB 2.0 external. From what I understand, I have two options: either a Network Storage Adapter with a USB 2.0 drive (such as the D-Link DNS-120 with http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=HD-122-WD&groupid=701&catid=14&subcat=911 ), or a NAS/USB enclosure (such as the Sumvision SV8990 and http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=HD-135-WD&groupid=701&catid=14&subcat=767 ).

Which would be the better option? Is there any type of dual-drive enclosure so I can go for a RAID-1 approach? I plan to store all my music on the drive, and format it as FAT32 to make it accessible to both Windows and Linux.

Thanks,

Nick
