Trying to wire up someones house with CAT5 as wireless is usless (old house nasty brick walls)

Got a couple el-cheapo Dynamode SW50010 switchs and 99% sure you need to put a cross over cable to join 2 of them up.

Not had much luck so far though. This is what i have done so far, were have i buggered up so far?

How have you wired the face plates up? Looks to me like you are mixing crossover with a straight through at the faceplate. i.e. one side of the faceplate is straight through and the other is a crossover cable.

Trying terminating both ends the same way... or even before you do that test out what sort of cables are needed to connect the switches.

Most most modern switches have auto-sensing ports so don't need crossover cables. Older switches have an uplink port that's used to connect to another switch. If you use this on just one of the switches you shouldn't need a crossover cable.
