Never punch glass!

im getting the stitches out on tuesday, so i guessing it should have healed up by then?
If you cut the tendon fully then it wont have fully healed by the time you have the stitches out, your looking at a 12 weeks before its healed. You may also need physio to get the movement back fully. It doesnt sound like you have fully cut your tendon though from what you have said. Ive got full movement back now but i cut it near the wrist which isnt as bad as cutting it in the finger.

i've only slightly sliced the tendon..

Its not painfull at all yet, until i move my finger, but then it isnt really a siering pain. I can bend my finger already but i think the stitches in the tendon are making it hurt a lot.

Dont worry about it then mate i cut mine in half and im fine, plus you got the operation done the same day which is a good thing. Looks like this will hinder your progress on your tech project  :D .

on the last day of 6th form we had a little wrestling match in a drunken state and someone threw me towards the window quite gently, but the window must have been really weak cause it just shattered and i went straight through it

Cut my hands open, blood everywhere and i still got the scars today 2 years on.

Was funny at the time though :/

i didnt realise i was dripping with blood at first, just laughed at the fact i went through a window

when someone pointed out the blood, i went into panic mode :P

EDIT - dunno if you were referring to me Mark lol

ah right, same as me, didnt realise it was a deep cut till i pulled the skin back and mr bone said hello to me :(

I can remember my dads friends son got in a fight up Scotland put his hand through a glass window in a pub thowing a punch, ruined his rugby union career, from that i know glass is bad.

You punch glass, its breaks your arm slices the nice freshly cut glass and bingo, 999.

I'm a little worried it was something you needed to find out. I suggest you stay away from matches, cleaning chemicals and other household dangers. :p

I'd also advise staying away from moving traffic and any other machinery. Be especially wary of the washing machine, that thing has a hasty habit of biting you in the arse when you turn away...

i didn't plan on doing it, just walked out the door turned around and smack. The first thing on my mind wasnt really 'oh its glass'

ah well if it was accidental and not done in anger then i hope you make a full recovery. i put my knee through a sheet glass door.... and escaped without a scratch... came close to smacking it with my face - now that would have been bad :o
