New 13" Work Laptop - £1200 ish

ok, i'm back on this.

Looking at Lenovo now. Budget is £1200.

I'm thinking either:

Thinkpad x9-14 gen 1
win11 pro
Intel® Core™ Ultra 7 258V
Arc 140V
32GB RAM
1TB SSD
14" WUXGA (1920 x 1200), OLED, Anti-Glare, Non-Touch, HDR 500 True Black, 100%DCI-P3, 400 nits, 60Hz, Low Blue Light
£1256

Or

ThinkPad P14s Gen 5 (AMD)
No OS, i'd buy win 11 pro
32GB RAM
1TB SSD
AMD Ryzen™ 7 PRO 8840HS
Integrated AMD Radeon™ 780M
14" WUXGA (1920 x 1200), IPS, Anti-Glare, Non-Touch, 100%sRGB, 400 nits, 60Hz, Low Power, Low Blue Light
£1000
£1150 with Win 11 pro... and without all the bloatware

reviews of the X9-14 seem good, some suggestions it isnt a "proper" thinkpad. i see what they mean, but i'm not really fussed. I can buy a new usbc/thunderbolt dock to give me all the ports i need, plus i can docks for when i'm on the move.

Thoughts?

Can buy a Ryzen 270 (8845HS), 780m, 32GB DDR5, 1TB ASUS Vivobook S14 for just over £600 if you look around. Metal bodied as well with a 2.5k IPS screen. Probably the best deal for the spec laptop currently on sale.

The company wants to buy all the laptops from the same place... ive no idea why, but thats the way it is. so i need to stick with Lenovo.

That does sound like a good deal though!
