I hope so. If this thing does come out in the near future, there's going to be a lot of GT's on a certain auction site. I wonder if they'll have stock availability around launch tho.

You sure your not looking at the G80 GTS 640Mb with 112sp?

I;ve yet to see any results for a G92 G92 GTS with 128sp.

They are doing both - a G80 GTS with 122sp and a G92 with 128sp

My advice is get yourself an x1900xt or 1950 pro etc and keep for backup so you can still have a semi decent level of gaming during upgrades.The gt price is going to tumble before xmas as no doubt many good deals for the g92 gts will be around too.

just sold my 640 8800gts today for 140.00, was gonna sell it to my wee bro but he got an 8800gt 512mb today, im currently using a pair of 7900gt extreme editions in sli and theyre still rubbish for new games like crysis or cod 4, bring on the new gts

And another article, seems to think it's out on the 11th and not the 14th.

Nvidia will release its next 'G92'-based graphics chip, the GeForce 8800 GTS 512, on 11 December, it has been claimed. As its name suggests, the new part extends the existing 8800 GTS line up with a model that connects to 512MB of memory.
