Bargain carboot find @ £40...

...brand new a-bar plus a pair of brand new spotlights that came with naughty 100watt bulbs fitted. A bit of a bargain considering the same spots are currently on offer at the place we get our Landy spares from at £45 a pair.

Where abouts was that for sale

£40 for a whole working Landy !!! = BARGAIN !! :D
How could a Landy be an addition to one? He does describe the subject matter at the bottom of the post...

Saw the pic and thought that the yard looks vaguely familiar, then saw your location and so guess it prob is :) Can't place it tho :(

In St Martins mate. Just behind Perrys (the Renault truck garage) and in the yard next to Digga Rentals...on the old Ifton Colliery industrial estate as its now called. Need any cheap mechanical work doing then give us a shout...
:D

A bars are for hanging lights off of, bull bars are for sheep, cows and various members of the public you take a disliking to. :D

Nice find there are they wired up yet? The standard lights are abysmal.

Connected them up and they work, the local motor factors are dropping the relay needed off in the morning to wire them up properly.
:)

Ah St Martins
I know the place quite well (spent a lot of time at Ebnal/Rhosygadfa in my youth :) ) ,but can't think that i've actually been in your yard there, which is odd because from looking at the piccy i'd swear that i had :)

We used to spend a lot of time up at Rhosygadfa at a mates house when we were kids, especially the large wood thats between Gobowen and that sort of direction as the crow flies...

o be honest i'd be more worried by the 3/4's of a ton of landrover following the a-bar if it was going to hit me

Quite true :D. We fitted one of those 'safety' plastic a-bars to an 06 Defender the other day, it looked hideous and i couldn't help think 'whats the point'.
:)

One of my least auspicious driving moments involved a bit of ice (no,really the road was icy, goddammit :D ) and the pond by Ebnall hall

wouldnt like to be hit by those...

are you expecting a bull any time soon? :p

What bit are you looking at because i see no picture suggesting there is a bull bar fitted??

Its an A-Bar, you needent worry because if you get hit by a landy the chances are youll be splatted everywhere unless its slow, very slow. You'd have even more reason to worry if i hit you in mine as i dont drive slowly, and am just about to fit a thumping great winch which sitting the front of nearly 2 tonnes of defender 90 would probably just rip you in half :D

Only problem mate, when you get a winch fitted you'll spend all your time towing Frontera's and the like out of muddy fields...
:D
