New Alloys?

I would say getting from the dealer , but if they are charging £300 per wheel ... jesus :O , i think they are mugging you off, a full set of 16s are only a few pounds shy from £500 on the current SR.

Id get them refurbished , or get some from these lot at fensport

The MK2 SR 1.8 stocks are 17x7 and from fensport i like the silver ones.

Option 1 will be £500 for 4 refurbed alloys

That's expensive!

My brother got his 4 wheel refurbed and a dent fixed for £160 all in:

Is that really the cheapest quote you've got for your alloys (I know it was a rough estimate judging by your post)?

why get wheels refurbed so far away ? why factor in food ? surely you would be eating food that day wether you are getting wheels done or not ?

get them refurbed locally

It was of these thread, http://forums.overclockers.co.uk/showthread.php?t=18376129&highlight=wheel+refurb

Like I said, called up just for a quote and why not factor in food, if i go, it is going to be a meal out of the house, may be in a service station or train station. I don't need to explain my meal habits to you but I spend practically nothing on food on the weekend as I go to my parent's, plus i am not saying i will spend £100, i put £20 down...so £480/500...not exactly a big difference. It is also a moot point as I did that list mainly to put it in writing which is more economical and what is the potential cost of each route should I take it.
