It's was def the Mk2 SR , I think it was an 08 plate red one with the OEM 17s and unique rear light cluster and bumper
The picture shot was from the rear low driver side angled shot. I'll try a forum search for it
I have a 12 plate Chilli Red SR

So 17" Alloys = not bad, 15" Steels = better, i need to remember that.
Sorry what i meant was that big wheels on little cars look odd a bit 4 x 4ish. Generally oem alloys are not much bigger than the steelies. Hence why i said the 17s look good despite being 2 inches bigger.

I think you had taken others , i remember it was deffo a Red SR , in a similar shot , but a bit lower.

I would say getting from the dealer , but if they are charging £300 per wheel ... jesus :O , i think they are mugging you off, a full set of 16s are only a few pounds shy from £500 on the current SR.
Id get them refurbished , or get some from these lot at fensport

The MK2 SR 1.8 stocks are 17x7 and from fensport i like the silver ones.

Is that really the cheapest quote you've got for your alloys (I know it was a rough estimate judging by your post)?
£500 includes train fares, petrol and food.

Like I said, called up just for a quote and why not factor in food, if i go, it is going to be a meal out of the house, may be in a service station or train station. I don't need to explain my meal habits to you but I spend practically nothing on food on the weekend as I go to my parent's, plus i am not saying i will spend £100, i put £20 down...so £480/500...not exactly a big difference. It is also a moot point as I did that list mainly to put it in writing which is more economical and what is the potential cost of each route should I take it.
