New Apple Store in Norwich.

Awesome - high-fives all round !!
I imagine those dudes at the front were super stoked to get their free ipods :)

They're not like that all the time. On store openings and launch days half of them have been up all night, they've been working towards it for weeks, and the blow off steam with all of that. That is by far the most ridiculous store opening I've ever seen though, usually there's clapping and wooing and high fiving but that took the biscuit.

A lot of Apple's staff, especially on store openings, are SO excited to be working for Apple they could **** themselves, and it manifests itself in such embarassing antics :/

Belfast store opening was something similar but without the dancing. I walked in and was greeted by this bunch of knobs trying to high five me - so embarrassing and I wished I hadn't bothered. Its only a shop!

Was working the day it opened in another shop nearby, absolutely bloody mental to see queues of people and customers cheering as people were to be let in. Surreal.

That looks good fun, to watch! :D

Although a job at Apple wouldn't be a bad idea, I don't think I'd like to go retail again after working for (insert high street competitor here).

In all honesty I wouldn't bother. It's better than most retail in a lot of ways and horrendous in a lot of others. Management in general at Apple are a joke, the rest of the staff just do their best to work *despite* them, and most of the good staff leave out of frustration, get pushed out, or fired for stupid reasons.
