New asus crosshair viii hero mobo stuck at press del or f2

I've just installed a new Asus mobo and ryzen 5900 cpu and I can't get to the bios. The keyboard is lighting up but del and f2 aren't doing anything. It is booting to the press del or f2 screen btw.
Any ideas guys?

Hi, I ran into the same issue on first boot. I use same Motherboard and AMD Ryzen 5900. My keyboard LED is on, but not registering any keypress. I've tried reseat all cables and RAMs but did not help. Please help.

Have you updated the bios? all my problems were solved after I did this

Thank you for fast response. I also figured it out the BIOS update. I updated it via USB and things resolved. Cheers

Thank you for the tip @Captain Carling. I (think) I've updated my bios in preparation for my awaited cpu but if I get the keyboard lighting up but can't access the bios, I'll at leat know that I might need to try again
