i currently own a fairly nice Westly guitar (blue metallic)

after a year of playing im wanting to upgrade it.. i have two which i quit elike, but i have a strange feeling my new one HAS to be white..

the two i cant decide between is the Fender Precision (MEX White)
and the Burns Bison Bass (White)

although!... im still yet to find a Bison to play to see how its feels/sounds

the mex precision sounds rather nice and feels ok

any ideas would be welcome :D

i hate dilemas!

Thanks guys n girls!

Theres an old saying that says if you are a guitarist who does session work and you can only take one guitar with you then it has to be a Fender Stratocaster.
The same applies to bass players and Fender Precisions.

Great workhorses for all types of music.

Mexi precision is a good buy. I learned on one, total luxury for a beginner but it was a good buy in the end. Decently made, never held me back at all, nice range of sounds (though not a patch on my Warwick Rockbass Corvette, all the sounds a Precision can make are great, whereas the Corvette makes some more good ones and a load of rubbish ones :D )

Is there a P-J (precision bass with jazz bass pickup in the bridge) in your price range these days? Other than the Squier Special, anyway, which doesn't count on the grounds it's not very good? That's one of the best upgrades/hybrids out there IMO, gives away nothing and gains a lot. Aerodyne Precision Bass Special for example, bit pricey though

Try and play an Epi Thunderbird... Totally marmite but I love 'em.
