NEW BETA BIOS - GA-Z68XP-UD3P

i would go ahead and buy the board, its not affecting everyone and most likely a bios fix if gigabyte pull there finger out, they have good rma service too imo

you seem to have more options for tweaking settings/voltages on gigabyte than asus boards to from what ive experienced

errmmm I would not buy it, why buy something that does not work?

Also I really enjoyed my UD4 deciding it needed to restore the bios and delete my raid AND not let me restore my raid (ssd caching) causing me to lose files. Thanks.

Quite enjoying my asus P8Z68-V Pro so far, it seems far far far superior..

Edit: also its not just cold booting, if you get the worst problem that me and this guy here (http://forum.giga-byte.co.uk/index.php/topic,7895.msg62884.html#msg62884) has, it will just randomly turn off even though it appears stable for 24+ hours. It is crap.

The board I've gone with is the GA-Z68MA-D2h-B3

Do you think I'll have the same cold boot issue ? I'm tempted to chance it

Nobody can tell you since nobody knows what causes it or why it happens. All we know is it happens with any of gigabytes z68/p67 range.

If you ask me their bios team is crap, why else can they not put out a UEFI bios?

I had someone come to me with a similar issue but with the z68ap-d3. For some reason upgrading to a bigger and better psu seemed to fix the issue. Having tested their original psu on other systems there didn't seem to be an issue with it but the motherboard just didn't like it.

That was going from a 600w to 750w psu on an i5 single gpu system.
